If any information is wrong, respond to this thread. The information contained here is BELIEVED to be accurate. If it came in a factory box, there should be a date sticker on the end of the box along with the model and serial number stickers. The new slides have full length rear cocking serrations, a one-piece extractor and resemble the 226/228 slides in profile. I have started this post so that there can be a single spot within “Sig Talk” that I hope would grow to contain ALL available manufacturing information about the P239 pistol. The new version of 229 Sigs have a different slide. Years Produced, Serial #’s, Variations, Etc.
